Pleasanton Valley can really be summarized with one word, “home”. This neighborhood feels like “home”. Whether it is the tree lined streets or the children playing sports in the streets, there is a sense of comfort here. If you are looking for a home for sale in Pleasanton, Pleasanton Valley is definitely a great place to start.

Pleasanton Valley is one the more desirable tract neighborhoods in Pleasanton. Most streets have mature trees lined on each side, and there are several parks throughout this neighborhood. Every Thanksgiving you cannot find an empty field due to the amount of pick-up football games.

These Pleasanton homes were built by Morrison Homes, between 1966-1974. Parts of Pleasanton Valley have nicknames that are referred to about different parts of the neighborhood. The “gas lamp” area is located on and around Black Ave. and the streets are lined with gas powered street lights. The “Birdland” area is located on the north side of Valley and it is simply called that because each street is named after a bird. So if you hear these references, remember that they all are in the Pleasanton Valley neighborhood.

One of the great selling points that potential buyer wanting to move to Pleasanton is the school district. What Pleasanton Valley has to offer is that children can just about walk to each school. Walnut Grove Elementary, Harvest Park Middle School, and Amador Valley High School are all within a 15 minute walk. One of the secrets that go unnoticed is the paths between houses to allow children to get to school much quicker.  Also there are two areas were you can cut into the Pleasanton Sports Park.

There are a total of six parks in Pleasanton Valley including the Pleasanton Sports Park, Harvest Park Middle School, and Walnut Grove Elementary. Woodthrush Park is located on the corner of Blackbird and Woodthrush Dr. and it is 3.5 acres with picnic tables. The Amador Valley Community Park is located on the corner of Santa Rita and Black Ave, but can be accessed from Alameda which is off of Greenwood Ave. Harvest Park is located on Del Valle Pkwy and Hopyard and it can be accessed from Harvest Dr. also.

Many homes are also a very close walk to shopping, restaurants, and many other stores. As you can see there was a lot of thought that went into the planning of this neighborhood and this is why many residents feel Pleasanton Valley is one of the finest neighborhoods in Pleasanton.
