If your kids are anything like ours, they are really excited for the holidays! Decorated houses, brightly lit Christmas trees, and the hustle and bustle of the holidays remind children that the holidays are upon us.
It’s at this time of year, we are reminded of how fortunate we are to live in Livermore, an area that has so much holiday cheer!
Holiday Sights and Sounds Parade in Livermore
Last weekend many of us watched the 50 floats that lined the streets of Downtown Livermore in Livermore’s annual Holiday Sights and Sounds Parade. Residents and guests lined the streets waiting to see all the holiday lights, hear the music, and support our local Livermore businesses.
At the end of the parade, Santa himself participated in the lighting of the Christmas Tree. A good time was had by all and to all a good night!
A Holiday Light Show in Livermore You Cannot Miss
Dave Rezendous, aka Deacon Dave, is a legend in Livermore for his holiday light display. A 38-year-old tradition, the holiday light display has dazzled all who visit the legendary house at 352 Hillcrest Ave., Livermore.
Shut down last year due to the pandemic, Deacon Dave’s Holiday Light Display and brighter than ever!
America Celebrates Our Heroes
This year’s theme is “America Celebrates our Heroes” and features a 25-foot-tall Ferris wheel full of red, white, and blue lights. Military emblems thanking our veterans for their service are on display as well.
Deacon Dave created a working merry-go-round featuring elves dresses as teachers, nurses, police officers, fire fighters, and doctors, a tribute to our other heroes.
Looking to get married? Check out the light display on Proposal Bridge, a bridge that has featured 72 proposals.
Real doves represent Deacon Dave’s dedication to the Holy Spirit and can be seen live at the light display.
Light lovers are welcome to visit Deacon Dave’s Holiday Light Display featuring over 700,000 LED lights. Donations are welcome and given to charity.
Viewers can admire Deacon Dave’s Holiday Light Display now until January 1, 2022.

Letters to Santa Claus
Hurry and get your letter to Santa in time for the North Pole to respond with your wish list requests!
Any person from zero – 150 can write a letter to Santa. Simply address your envelope with your Wish List to Santa Claus, 123 Elf Road, North Pole, 88888 and drop it off at your nearest post office. All letters must be postmarked by December 10, 2022.
