As I celebrated Father’s Day with my family, I took a little time to reflect on what it means to be a realtor with The Gamache Team.
My Grandfather and my father were realtors which is where I got my first taste of real estate. My father began his career in 1972 and my grandfather in 1980.
As a young child, I would hand deliver brochures and also go to Open Houses with them. Back then, a deal was made with a firm handshake, a look in the eye, a pat on the back for a job well done, and signatures in ink.
Homes were sold by referrals from friends, family, and neighbors. Prices were much lower of course, but the house was a home, and new neighbors meant new friends.
My First Marketing Efforts
I didn’t know that my first experience at marketing would lead me to my career as a third generation Gamache Team Realtor.
As a child, I happily handed out flyers to friendly neighbors who welcomed me with a warm smile and a friendly response of “Why thank you, Son.”
It gave me great pleasure to work with my dad and Grandpa who patiently answered all my questions and didn’t hesitate to share their modest business model.
Real Estate in Today’s World
The yesterday of the Tri-Valley is quite different from today’s version of the Tri-Valley. Back in the day, we didn’t designate which cities were labeled as the “Tri-Valley.” We were Livermore; Pleasanton; Dublin.
The land had fewer homes and more rolling hillsides of pastures.
There was less traffic, and everyone seemed to know everyone by name.
Today, of course, we are a sprawling area known for our vineyards, shopping, golf courses, restaurants, and quaint homes, some of which still have a lot of land and history associated with them.
My marketing now reaches world-wide through advanced technology and social media channels.
I can do business from the privacy of my own home, make deals over the phone, and sign papers electronically.
People from all over the world can locate me, find their dream home, or even ask me to represent them before we even meet.
Some Things Never Change
Reflecting on my past and my experience growing up with my father and my grandfather mentoring me, I am humbled to be the third Gamache Team Realtor.
I take what I have been taught and mold my business model to include current technology and the expectations of my clients.
One aspect of The Gamache Team will never change, and that is the respect and due diligence that each client receives.
No matter if you are buying or selling, no matter if this is your first deal with us or your last, you will always receive the same first-class service that you would expect to receive from The Gamache Team.
Thank you for Making Three Generations in Real Estate Possible
Without the trust and support from our clients, we would not be as successful and well-known as we are. I am grateful to be representing some of the same families my dad and grandpa represented.
Thank you for choosing The Gamache Team for your real estate needs.
With gratitude and appreciation,
The Gamache Team
