Last year at this exact time, we wrote a blog about March Madness, the college basketball event that draws people from all over the office to chat about their bracket assignments at the water cooler.
Little did we know that March Madness would take on an entire new meaning, as the world shut down to face a pandemic of unprecedented proportions.
March Happiness for Alameda Businesses in 2021
This March we received the welcome news that Alameda county would be graduating from the purple tier to the red tier, bringing huge relief, gratitude, tears, and celebrations to many.
The Pleasanton Weekly recently reported that Alameda was one of three counties able “to resume indoor operations at 10%-25% percent capacities for businesses like gyms, restaurants, movie theaters, museums, zoos and aquariums.”
This news has been long awaited, as those of us in Alameda County have been sheltering in place for almost a year to the day. Our local businesses have lost revenue due to restrictions and some, sadly, have closed their doors for good.
With the great news, we hope that many of you will be able to return to more of a normal life and feel safe and eager to support the businesses in Alameda who have been affected so deeply. By supporting these businesses, you are also supporting the families who choose to live in our area.
Alameda Students Return to Campus for the First Time in Almost a Year
Even better news for struggling students who have been learning remotely is the greenlight for them to return to the classroom. Starting March 11, middle school and high school students will be returning to campus along with their peers from elementary school who went back to on campus learning last week.
This is welcome relief for so many children who struggled with being away from peers, teachers, friends, and teammates or who simply could not learn from a computer at home.
The Gamache Team welcomes, with relief, the return of a more normal life; we wish students from the Dublin, Pleasanton, and Livermore school districts a chance for a fantastic final quarter.
March Madness Begins Again!
This March The Gamache Team is pleased to report the return of March Madness! We know this will be an especially meaningful time for all the college athletes who are gearing up for a bit of a different.. While the crowds may be a bit smaller this year, there will no doubt be any less competition. May the best men’s team and women’s team win!
Well Wishes From The Gamache Team
We want to wish everyone health and happiness. It’s been quite a year for so many of us, both good and bad, and we are thankful to be in a community that supports one another. We still feel a bit biased that the Tri-Valley is the best place to call home, and if there is one thing our family will never take for granted, it’s the love and support from our clients and friends.
Thank you for trusting The Gamache Team with your real estate needs.
