What better way to spend the magical days leading up to Christmas than to visit the holiday light displays around the Bay Area. 

Grab some hot cocoa, pack up some popcorn, bundle up the kids and map your way through some of the most amazing homes that are lit up for all to enjoy.

The Bay Area’s Best Holiday Lights Display

Widmer World is back at it after two years being shut down. This fantabulous light display at 3671 Chelsea Court in Pleasanton is open until the 31st from 6-9 pm. Check them out on their YouTube Channel. This blogger loves the musical lyrics set to Good Vibrations!

Livermore’s famous Deacon Dave is back again to light up the night and his neighborhood at 352 Hillcrest Ave in Livermore. He’s up to a record setting 785,800 lights and 77th marriage proposal under his infamous Christmas Lights and on Proposal Bridge. Alex Dourov’s Livermore Extravaganza

California Christmas lights website founder, Alex Dourov, has outdone himself this year with a snow machine, phone calls to Santa, and a six foot “Joy” sign that dances to music. Visitors can enjoy old school decorations combined with modern day technology from Nov. 26 through Dec. 29 at 467 Knottingham Circle in Livermore; http://californiachristmaslights.com. Hours are listed as 5-10 pm.

Oakland Zoolight’s Glowfari

Not too far away is the Oakland Zoo’s Glowfari. Known for lighting up the zoo with fantastical animal light displays, this year’s display promises to be better than ever! Larger-than-life elephants, giraffes, dinosaurs, spy whales, kangaroos, and koalas light the way along the zoo’s 525 acres. Visit www.oaklandzoo.org. for more information.
