If you are like me, you are getting a little antsy about sheltering in place and hoping our local businesses will be able to resume their services quickly.
If I’ve learned anything from this experience, it’s to never again take for granted all that the Tri-Valley has to offer.
Even a trip to the local grocery store without a mask seems so little to ask for. A night out for dinner with the family seems a dream come true. Playing at the park with my kids, watching them play sports, have playdates, or go to a school activity would be a welcome treat for this dad.
The Tri-Valley is a fantastic place to call home, and I, for one, can’t wait to visit our wineries, sit down at our restaurants, grab a cup of coffee and not have to rush out the door, or shop leisurely at the mall or the many boutique stores that fill Livermore, Pleasanton and Dublin.
Hoping You and Your Family are Well During this Time
The Gamache Team is wishing you and your family the best during these unprecedented times. Whether you are our neighbor, a business owner, a teacher, community member, essential worker, or a little bit of everything, we are sending our best wishes.
The Tri-Valley area is very community-based. Support for our local business is paramount during these times, and we want to encourage everyone to support the families who are hurting due to this pandemic.
Supporting Our Tri-Valley Local Businesses
Small, local businesses are only as strong as the community in which they serve — and thankfully, our Tri-Valley community is very strong.
Here are a few ways you can support our Tri-Valley local businesses and their families:
Buy Gift Cards: Consider purchasing gift cards to our local coffee shops, restaurants, stores, and salons to be used upon re-opening.
Shop Locally: Purchase groceries and necessary supplies at our local grocers and stores. Curbside pickup is now available for retail stores in our community. Or shop for fresh produce and other commodities at your local farmer’s market. Here is a list of the Farmers Market in our areas.
Play, Learn and Work out Online: Many of our local businesses have switched to online programs. The Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center is featuring online classes, as are some other businesses. Sign up for online classes and services such as tutoring, yoga, personal training, music, and more!
Send Food or Coffee to Hospitals: Buy food or coffee from our local businesses and share it with hospital workers, delivery drivers, our local police or fire departments, or your children’s teachers! Your support and gratitude will go a long way to make someone’s day while you support our local businesses.
Tip Generously: Many in the service industry, from baristas to servers, depend on tips to make a living. If you are able, consider leaving a generous tip whenever you can.
